Boating Safety Course for Youth: Both individuals and groups are welcome, but a minimum total of 25 is required. Youth may not attend by themselves. They must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Groups must be with a group leader. The San Francisco Bay Boats ‘n Kids Team will give a basic boating safety presentation (see description under Boat'n Kids, school visits Kindergarten through 6th grade) onboard a USCG Cutter Morgenthau, the USCGC Sherman, both in port in Alameda, or at the USCG Station San Francisco, Yerba Buena Island. The basic safe boating presentation might be followed by a marine environmental demonstration, a Helicopter rescue demonstration, and a guided tour of the Cutter, or a tour of the Coast Guard Station.

Cost: All "San Francisco Bay USCG Boats n Kids" boating safety presentations are free of charge, however, as the instructors do not receive any reimbursement for their expenses, the students are asked to supply their own materials for some of the "hands on" activities.
